Terms of Accreditation
Version 2.4 | May 2024
1. Eligibility & Scope
Accreditation is open to commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities operating within the East African region. The 'Shield Premium' accreditation covers indoor hygiene standards, HVAC purification protocols, and chemical lifecycle management.
Chemical Standardisation
Facilities must exclusively use GHC Pro-Dose™ certified chemicals for the duration of the accreditation period. Dilution ratios must strictly adhere to GHC technical specifications to ensure public health safety.
Staff Certification
At least 80% of maintenance and hygiene staff must successfully complete 'The Shield I: Industrial Foundation' module at the GHC International Academy with a pass rate of no less than 85%.
Quarterly Audits
Accredited facilities are subject to unannounced quarterly hygiene audits. Failure to meet the GHC Hygiene Index (GHI) score of 90/100 will result in a 30-day remediation period before accreditation is revoked.
2. Liability & Misuse
The GHC Shield badge is a registered trademark. Accredited facilities are permitted to display this badge on premises and digital platforms. Misuse of the badge in non-accredited zones or during a period of de-certification will lead to instantaneous legal action and a permanent ban from GHC services.
Compliance Alert
Any substitution of GHC Pro-Dose™ chemicals with retail-grade alternatives voids all sanitation guarantees. In the event of an outbreak in a facility where substitution occurred, GHC accepts zero liability.
3. Fee Structure
Accreditation fees are billed annually and cover the cost of the initial site audit, quarterly oversight, and staff certification modules. Fees are determined based on facility square footage and volume of traffic.
